The Public Strategies Group

Science Museum Of Minnesota

Summary of Engagement

Having outgrown its current physical facility, the Science Museum of Minnesota faced several big questions. They had to do with future vision of the organization; how best to serve customers, and fundraising.

The Public Strategies Group was chosen from a field of prospective consulting firms to assist SMM in creatively thinking about its future. PSG then assisted museum leadership in building an organization which would remain sharply focused on meeting customer needs.

PSG's role was to design and facilitate an interactive strategic planning process which involved a broad spectrum of community representatives.  From the planning process and through ongoing consultation with museum executives, PSG helped to craft a concept for the museum's future as well as action plans to achieve that vision.
